The Gender Wage Gap in the United States : Impacts and Solutions

For my individual research project, I looked into the issue of the gender wage gap in the United States. I chose to research this particular issue because it is one that impacts half of the population, and will begin to impact my own life in a more direct fashion in the upcoming years. On average in the United States, a women makes 77.9 cents for every dollar made by a man. The goal of this project was to study the gender wage gap’s causes and impacts in the United States. My research was focused around academic journals, scholarly articles, and the Global Gender Gap Report, comparing the wage gap in the United States to those of other countries, and what the contributing factors may be.
