Beginning this project, the class was asked to choose an inspiration word stemming from a natural phenomenon,and then research alternate definitions of said word. Branching from the root word "plants," (no puns intended) I eventually landed on "Bloom" as my inspiration word. Additionally, I had to create a purpose and audience for the poster - a psychology lecture series sponsored by The American Psychological Association.

The original pieces of this poster were made on photographic paper in the dark room, using kaleidoscope lenses and my very cooperative roommate's face. After developing these images myself, they were scanned and layered together in Adobe Photoshop, and text was added in Adobe InDesign.
